The way most people learn how to do postures is actually in yoga classes. This is undoubtedly the hardest way to do it.
Think about this for a moment:
You're trying to listen to the cues from the teacher... move your body in awkward ways you've never done before... you're trying to remember to breathe... you're sweating more than you ever have before... and your with a group of people who all seem to know more than you.
Not the most ideal learning environment!
Add to that the fact that (even at your best) you're only able to pay attention to a fraction of what the teacher is saying.
(it's human nature... we're all trapped in our minds to some degree)
(not to mention the stuff you do hear that you don't know how to make happen in your body)
No wonder it takes so long to figure out what you're supposed to be doing. No wonder so many people feel like they can't do it, or it's just "not for them."
But it doesn't have to be that way... anymore!
